East Africa Adventure (Nairobi - Nairobi, 2014)

Day 1: Nairobi (D) 
Join your flight (flight not included) to the Nairobi. On arrival at Nairobi airport you will be met and transferred* to your hotel.
Overnight Stay: Nairobi
 

Day 2: Nairobi - Tarangire National Park (FB,L,D)
Following breakfast leave the bustling city of Nairobi behind and travel to the Namanga border and enter Tanzania, home to interesting wildlife, inspiring landscapes and a rich, diverse culture. Continue your journey to Tarangire National Park, situated between Lake Manyara and the sheer rock walls of the Rift Valley escarpment. The Park is home to an amazing variety of birds and animals and its lush green jungle habitat is of stark contrast to other parks in Tanzania.

Day 3: Tarangire Sopa Lodge - Ngorongoro Crater (FB,L,D)
Enjoy an Included early morning game drive through this beautiful and incredibly diverse park, which is well known for its lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. Travel to the world famous, Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Eden” and the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Our lodge is spectacularly located on the rim of the ancient crater, affording breathtaking views. This evening enjoy your  traditional danceperformance by a local tribe performed in the grounds of the Sopa Lodge.
Two Night Special Stay: Ngorongoro Crater
 

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater (FB,L,D)
Don’t miss the chance to rise early this morning and witness a spectacular sunrise over the crater. Following breakfast, enjoy an Included game drive through Ngorongoro Crater, reputed to contain the largest number of predators in Africa, due to the vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater - Amboseli National Park (FB,L,D)
After breakfast, continue your journey via Arusha and travel north into Kenya to Amboseli National Park, located beneath the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Late this afternoon, en route to your lodge enjoy an Included game drive through the national reserve with its wide, dry plains and where the horizons stretch into the furthest distance and become one with the sky.
Two Night Stay: Amboseli National Park
 
Day 6: Amboseli National Park (FB,L,D)
The snow clad peak of Mount Kilimanjaro soars above you as you enjoy an Included game drive through the savannah and acacia scrub of the Amboseli National Park. Heading deep into the park you will encounter large concentrations of elephants, birdlife such as grey heron, stork and Egyptian goose and other wildlife, which are drawn to this area due to a series of large, lush swamplands.  visit to a traditional Maasai village where you will learn first hand about this complex culture. The Maasai culture is a truly independent and proud culture and undoubtedly one of the most famous traditional cultures on earth. Maasai are semi-nomadic farmers and have resisted the urging of governments to adopt a more sedentary lifestyle. The Maasai live in harmony with most wild animals and have an aversion to eating game. As a result, Maasai land has East Africa’s finest game. choose from: (1) a nature walk accompanied by the lodge’s resident nature expert; or (2) a soothing massage. 

Day 7: Amboseli - Aberdare National Park (FB,L,D)
Nairobi’s famous Safari Park is your Included lunch destination today, followed by a drive to Mount Kenya National Park, home to the imposing, extinct volcano, Mount Kenya which dominates the landscape of the Kenyan Highlands. This World Heritage listed National Park includes a variety of habitats ranging from higher forest, bamboo, alpine moorlands, glaciers, tarns and glacial moraines. This evening enjoy game viewing from the comfort of your lodge which overlooks a waterhole and salt lick that attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo.

Overnight Stay: Aberdare National Park
Day 8: Aberdare National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park (FB,L,D)
Continue your African journey to Lake Nakuru, set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland and home to large flocks of pelicans and pink flamingos, and other wildlife. visit to the Nakuru Baby Orphanage Centre, established by an Australian family who have sold their home to care for the local children and the surrounding community. Enjoy lunch with the children for a memorable experience. This afternoon enjoy your Included game drive en route to the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, which is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic vistas of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 9: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve (FB,L,D)
This morning continue to Masai Mara National Reserve, where a once in a lifetime experience awaits as you witness the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the Great Migration (seasonal). It has been recorded that the Masai Mara attracts 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species, and during the annual migration over 1.5 million wildebeest. This afternoon enjoy an Included game drive through the Masai Mara which is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.
Three Night Stay: Masai Mara National Reserve
 
Day 10: Masai Mara National Reserve (FB,L,D)
Enjoy Included morning and afternoon game drives through the Masai Mara which is situated in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grasslands and home to the largest population of lions in Kenya. Vast herds of zebra, impala, antelope and hippos populate the streams and lakes and the woodlands and savannah are home to leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah.  (1) an African cooking class; (2) or guided nature walk.Opportunity to take a 1 hour Hot Air Balloon flight over the Masai Mara (own expense).
Day 11: Masai Mara National Reserve (FB,L,D)
Enjoy your second day of activites at Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 12: Masai Mara - Nairobi (HB)
This morning enjoy  exclusive farewell bush breakfast and game drive before boarding your Included flight back to Nairobi. During the short flight, take in the spectacular views over the landscape below. Depart the tour on arrival in Nairobi. Please book flights to depart after 5pm (flight not included).
